Sanjay Sharma – President  

Sanjay Sharma is an experienced business development and operations executive with over 15 years of IT, Staffing, and Travel industry experience. Prior Cognate, , Sanjay was the Business Development Director of Optify Solutions, Inc., an IT staffing and consulting firm based in San Jose, CA. His primary responsibilities were business and partnership development. During his tenure at Optify Solutions, Sanjay expanded the relationship with key clients, including Fujitsu Software, Minolta BusinessSystems, Fujifilm, and Electronic Arts. Sanjay's business development and operational skills were developed throughout his career as a Sr. Account Manger NTS/XXCAL, a large IT consulting and testing firm based in Los Angeles, CA. Sanjay also has extensive knowledge in the travel and hospitality industry as a result of his consulting experience in Leisure Corporation in Delhi, India and as an Inside Sales professional at American Express. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, a Post- Graduate Diploma in Tourism & Marketing from the University of Delhi and an MBA from California State University.

Kenneth Morris – EVP Business Development  

Kenneth Morris is a sales professional with more than 25 years experience in product sales and in software services.

After advancing his career through his initial years in global corporations like Brother, Xerox and Olivetti, he has been associated with multiple software services start-ups in the last 15 years helping them ramp up sales, lending them his experience in technical sales, strategic business development and relationship management.

Some of the key projects he has been involved in managing include- Siebel CRM Upgrade, Development and Maintenance of an Order Management Portal for a software major, Web-based order provisioning system for a Consumer Electronics major, Tech Support call center services for a start-up in the personal security systems space, and multiple QA and professional services projects requiring onsite support.

Ken is a BSEE from India and an MBA in International Management from California State University East Bay, CA. He also holds leadership positions in alumni groups and is an active volunteer in various community groups aiding their fund-raising efforts.

Rinish KN, Chief Technical Architect

Rinish in his capacity as Chief Technical Architect gets to oversee all project roll-outs across the entire life cycle. Rinish has over 9 years of experience in software development and project management.

He is an expert on mobile application development, for iPhone and Android platforms. He has held key positions in several eCommerce application development initiatives using Websphere Commerce Suite, j2ee and Oracle Fusion middleware. Previously, Rinish worked with Wipro Technologies as a Senior Project Manager . He has also worked at Oracle Corporation in the High Availability Team and contributed on high available architecture for Fusion middleware and Oracle databases.

His expertise includes e-commerce development, relational database design, C, C++, Objective C, JAVA, EJB, JSP, JDBC, JavaScript, SQL and highly available architecture using Oracle stack of products. He is a Certified Solutions Expert in IBM's Websphere Commerce Suite and IBM Websphere Portal application development.

Michael Resnick – Advisor

Michael brings to Cognate over two decades of consulting experience. He has been a Director at Capgemini, Oracle and Siebel running Siebel, Oracle EBS, Technology Architecture, and Integration practices. Michael was CTO for Oracle Applications for BearingPoint and VP of Professional Services for a Sequoia funded software start-up. Michael is a contributing Author of, "Tips From the Trenches - The Collective Wisdom of Over 100 Professional Services Leaders" and a Co-Inventor on a patent application entitled, "Methods and Systems to Effect Comprehensive Customer Management Solutions".

Michael’s past clients include VMware, DirecTV, T-Mobile, HCSC, Sentry Insurance, Whirlpool, Barclay’s Global Investors, and Intuit. He received his bachelor's degree from Simon Fraser University with minors in computer science and psychology. He is a member of Mensa and a volunteer for the American Red Cross Bay Area.

Raj Bhalla – Director of Operations

Raj joined Cognate in 2005 and has been on the forefront of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), call center, e-commerce and software development. He lived and worked in the US for six years of his 20 year career and is well versed in US business processes and culture. He has been closely involved in the set-up of international call center operations including facilities, networking, and staffing. He has extensive experience with advanced internet recruiting as well as a strong understanding of the Financial services and customer support services industries. Raj was the General Manager of an ISO 9001-2000 international call center and was the General Manager of the BPO provider Swiftsolutions and an IT & E-commerce Company, Polar Software Ltd. Raj is a Business Graduate from University of Delhi and speaks English, German, Hindi, and Urdu.
